Teaching
Vincent has lots of experience in teaching allover the world. Since he started teaching vibraphone and improvisation at the Conservatories of Amsterdam (CVA) and Rotterdam (CODARTS) Vincent Houdijk has created his own and unique teaching methods. Moreover he created his MALLETCLASSES; an online video course platform for percussionists from allover the world.
Currently Vincent is the main professor and coördinator of the Percussion Department at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA) in Tilburg (NL).
Moreover Vincent is a founder of the Percussion Friends Foundation and he has spent 16 years of his time, passion and energy on making this organization successful. In 2021 Vincent departed the team since they no longer had the same goals and mindset as how Vincent would like to be part of this organization.

With over 20 years of experience in the music business Vincent Houdijk created his own methods in which he is highly recommended and recognized by International Music Institutes.
He gained his broad and widened view of Music after studying Classical Percussion (1999-2005) and Jazz Vibraphone (2005-2007) both resulting in graduating with great honor (cum laude).
Vincent has gained years of experience while being trained by excellent artists and mentors such as Peter Prommel, Victor Oskam, Frits Landesbergen and the reputable Mike Mainieri.
